There are many eating places along The Parade/The Avenue, with many cafes and tea rooms open during the day, including Toucan vegetarian cafe. The following are 10 suggested restaurants (in alphabetical order) where you can get food in the evenings.

Dining out in Minehead

The Cod Shop

Fish and Chip restaurant on The Avenue.  Eat in or take away.   Closes at 7pm.  Not open on Sunday. Monday or Tuesday.

The Duke of Wellington Hotel

A Wetherspoons pub.  Classic pub food at reasonable prices. 

Fausto’s

Italian restaurant on Park Street, serving Italian, Mediterranean and European cuisine, often using local produce. Closed on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday

Golden House

Chinese restaurant on Holloway Street.  Takeaway or eat in. Closed on Mondays.

The Hairy Dog

Family friendly pub and restaurant with a children’s play area.  Also features live sport and live music.  Dog friendly

The Old Ship Aground

Pub restaurant close to the harbour.  Pleasant atmosphere and good food but not the cheapest place in town.  Dog friendly

Queens Head

Pub restaurant on Holloway Street specialising in Thai food but with some traditional pub classics also.  Carvery served Sunday lunchtimes.  No food available on Sunday evenings and closed on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Taj Mahal

Indian restaurant on The Avenue. Open every day.

Vladi’s Pizza and Pasta

The name says it all!  They also serve risottos and burgers.  There is a very wide choice of pizzas available.  Closed on Tuesdays.

The Wheelhouse

A family-run bistro restaurant, offering a good choice of traditional home cooked dishes at sensible prices.   Booking advised (01643 818245).  Closed on Sunday and Monday evenings.
